December 17-18, 1998 - Reiki Second Degree

The detox period from my initial attunements must have hit me very hard because I was suffering a lot by the time I did my Second Degree. I had flu like symptoms and my mood was extremely low.
The invitation from my Reiki Master to do my Second Degree with him couldn't have come at a better time. This course was similar to the first, consisting of meditations, but just the one attunement this time which was to attune us to the sacred Reiki symbols used to further empower the healing potential. The rest of the course was on different methods of using the symbols. Again, there is another 28 day process to go through after the new attunement, after which I will write my report about it up on here. The course left me exhilarated!
Amendment: 28 Day Report - Much of the same things that happened since the First Degree are still in effect. The raising of intuition, strange mystical experiences, sensitivity to energies (or rather realizing the things I've sensed all my life aren't just my imagination), and synchronicity.
I've been doing a lot of distance healings and the feedback from them has been surprisingly good. I'd practised mostly with people I know from the Internet, so I've been able to get instantaneous feedback from them irrespective of where they are around the world. I've developed a method of giving people a quick boost as I'm talking to them on-line (don't hesitate to ask me for a healing if you catch me on-line!) by using the symbols to link/connect with them and beaming to them with intention. I've cleared someone's migraine, another persons insomnia and many other conditions very quickly. The recipients seem to sense the energy in the classical ways with tingling, hot and cold, drowsiness, floating, and magnetism.
I have found I get a lot more benefit from going into deep meditation now and imagining myself bathing in healing energy. I stay this way for hours if I have the time. It's become very easy for me to quickly slip into such a deep state since the attunements and living with the energies.
I've had certain things appear to me, as if my higher senses are waking up. I know all this is real, but it's still a surprise to have it happen to me. One evening on the phone to a friend after experimenting with sleep deprivation, I noticed the pot plant in my room was glowing! Looking closer I noticed a white transparent smoke type substance was dancing about around the plant. It was amazing; I watched it for about half an hour and experimented with it using my hands and fingers to interact with what appears to be the plant's aura. I then noticed the air around my hands seemed to look as if it was heat distorted. I could even see coloured balls of energy form between my fingers. An experience I would like to repeat when I learn to relax my ego/mind over time, when I'm sure this and many other things I've experienced will begin to appear to me more often.
I have had many more fascinatingly strange experiences that would probably get me stoned or shot if I listed them all here. This time in my life must be a big "waking up" because so many things are coming into my life at this moment, more so every day. I'm meeting more people who share the same philosophies and people just seem to be drawn to me as if I was a magnet. Animals can't seen to get enough of me!
November 13, 1998 - Fireball in the Sky
Near Ipswich - UK today both my friend Matt and I witnessed a small diagonal streak of glowing yellow light in the distance hanging in the sky. The more we examined it the stranger it looked; ominously illuminated and not moving. After we passed some trees that obscured our view of it for a moment from the car, it had completely vanished when our view was clear again.
We both concluded it was very odd but didn't hasten to make any judgements to what it might be, other than that we'd never seen anything like it before.
Well it is Friday the 13th, so case is open...
Amendment: November 23, 1998 - Local news reports with impressive video footage of a large fireball in the sky came in today. It's what we saw; but not the same day. The video images were of close range, showing what looked like something just hanging there burning, creating a large diagonal streak of yellow fire in the sky. The reporters, public and experts are baffled and requests for ideas from the public were made.
Amendment: November 26, 1998 - A follow-up news report tucked away at the end of the local news today came up with a very convincing explanation to what the reported fireball was. Experts claim that it was a short vapour trail from a jet engine, illuminated by the bright setting sun. The news report was very light hearted in view of a very serious phenomena. Whilst a very convincing explanation, it leaves the question of why we don't see more fireballs in the sky and why two separate sightings have been reported within the space of just over a week when years before nothing like this has been seen before.
A cover-up, or the reluctance to accept something out of the normal is happening? Very clear evidence of how the wool is constantly pulled over the public's eyes.
November 7, 1998 - IRC Meet
Occasionally people from all over the world who chat in the same channels on the Internet arrange to meet up in person and have a damn good laugh, quaffing large quantities of alcohol and talking about computers. Well, this wasn't such a meeting. Yes there was quaffing of alcohol, yes there were some damn good laughs, but to be honest the last thing a small cross-section of the human race wants to talk about are computers when they've spent most of their time collaborating via a computer.
Argyll Arms in Oxford Street - London was the venue. Mostly people from #Just4Kicks on the Undetnet IRC server turned up, but people from #Britzone and #England were there too.
October 23-25, 1998 - Mind Body Spirit Festival
Guinness? Of course that's why I went to Ireland. Why else? It just so happened that the 4th Irish Mind Body Spirit International Festival was on in Dublin at the time, so I dragged my dad and his two friends along. I wandered off on my own and attended a lecture called The Aura & the Unseen Worlds by the Emin Foundation. They had us perform a simple experiment where the males would hold their right palm out and the females would hold their left palm out (which they claimed were the respective receiving hands of each gender). With the spare hand we had to point all fingers towards the open palm of the person next to us. The man next to me must have been a sensitive of some kind because he kept commenting on how much energy he was sensing from my left hand, and when I explained that I practised Reiki he gave me that knowing look and said that explained it.
I also had an aura photograph and interpretation whilst I was there, which confirmed aspects

October 15, 1998 - Past Life Regression Therapy
After accepting that for some time I have had unhealthy addictive, compulsive, and obsessive behaviour I have, in an attempt to help me out of this situation, been seeing an unconventional therapist. As well as her speciality - past lives - she is a spiritual healer, counsellor, hypnotharapist and also works with healing the inner child.
Today, after a few sessions of counselling and hypnotherapy, we had decided to do past life regression to see if my problems were recurrent in my past lives and also for a bit of fun. Now, during hypnotherapy I was very aware of what was going on around me; it wasn't like it is on a TV show. With regression it was the same and I found that I was struggling with myself - aware that I could very well just be imagining everything I said, even though it is said that intuition comes through the creative. Still, I went along with it all and you can make of the tape I have transcribed what you will. Comments are very welcome.
October 10-11, 1998 - Reiki First Degree
Reiki (pronounced Rey-Key)
is a simple yet effective method of channelling energies
for healing (usually hands on) and spiritual growth. It originated in
ancient Tibet and has become popular in the west in the last few
decades. What makes Reiki different from other healing practices are
the powerful attunements students receive from the Reiki Master when
they go through the different stages of training.
Having not known anything about it a month ago, I am thrown head first into training for this practice. In preparation for training one is advised not to drink alcohol, nor (I presume) take non prescribed drugs, which was no problem for me. All else you needed was a sleeping bag and vegetarian food to share on the second day. I think I was the youngest in the group of the ten of us in the circle. Everyone there was very easy to get to know and to talk to about similar esoteric topics. The course consisted of an introduction to Reiki, then our first attunement. Reiki attunements can only be performed by a qualified Reiki Master who are attuned themselves. The story of how the very first Reiki Master got their attunements is open to debate. Attunements open up and tune a persons top four chakras, allowing the universal life energy (Ki) to flow through, making that person a channel (Rei) for this energy. The attunements were performed under group meditation, with eyes closed, by the Reiki Master. In this case he would go around to each person in the circle and perform what seemed to be a complex ritualistic number of movements, adjusting the hand positions of the student, blowing on parts of them, etc. Sounds dubious, but it's very powerful. Then after out first attunement we would practice hands on healing methods on someone else in the group. This would continue for the whole weekend until we had three attunements in total and had practised a few different healing methods on others and also ourselves. Since the course I have been invited to Reiki sharing groups where we do group healings and talk about any experiences we may have had. There is supposed to be a 28 day detoxification period after a Reiki initiation in which any hidden psychological, emotional, physical, and even spiritual problems will surface so they can be healed and released. During this period one should keep a diary and revise it so that the Reiki Master can monitor your progress. I will publish a report on here when this detoxification period is complete.
Amendment: 28 Day Detox Report - It's been a fairly lurid and profound time for me, full of bizarre coincidences and entertaining dramas. The evening after the Sunday when the course was completed, I had a sense of spinning around and around which grew stronger until I just lay down and let myself feel the spinning for a couple of hours. It was as if I had been spinning on the spot and then suddenly stopped myself and the dizzy spinning sensation afterwards continued, but it lasted until the next day. Since then I have had a strange lifting and falling sensation, which comes and goes, as if I were on a boat sailing through rough water. My intuition is most certainly stronger, so much so that it's hard to ignore those knowing senses and it's almost not surprising to see the outcome of things one knew would happen. Dreams have been a lot more crisp in my mind after waking up and their meanings seem to be a lot clearer. I have a lot more vitality now, as if I never feel like stopping. When I've felt any ill feelings it's as if I take them as a process, embracing them until they quickly pass.
I was able to put my hands to use when my friend had badly cut his finger whilst building a house extension. I closed my hands around his a small distance away. I found that I could sense the energy flow better this way, as a kind of tingling and an invisible rushing that's hard to explain. My friend explained what he felt as if his hand was between two magnets, pushing against his hand. The magnet explanation is the way I best explain how I've felt my own energy field in the past.
The only way I can explain most of what's been going on with me recently is to put it down to things happening on a much higher level. There's a certain point when coincidence just isn't a good enough explanation. In a way, I find myself sitting back and watching these things evolve.
October 4, 1998 - Natural Healing Exhibition
Spent the whole Sunday at the Natural Healing Exhibition in Colchester, where I met many interesting people and a few familiar faces, including my therapist who had her own stand there.
One of the workshops there that caught my eye was on auras by Brian Snellgrove, a leading UK aura reader and author of two books on the subject. He was extremely entertaining and his philosophies were very impressive. I was one of a few people chosen from the audience to have a free mini-reading in front of everyone. His method of reading by divining each chakra with a pendulum were quite unique and seemed to work very well from the things he could tell about me.
I was also introduced to a Reiki Master there whom my therapist recommended it would be good for me to train with. I attended one of his lectures latter that day and then signed up for my Reiki First Degree.
May 4, 1998 - Some New Graphics Here and There

February 13, 1998 - Second Encounter
I hadn't expected to write this so soon, but at 21:29 (GMT) this evening travelling towards Sproughton from Washbrook (in a northward direction), near Ipswich, UK, with my parents, we all witnessed a bright white light speeding directly over us in the direction we were travelling; towards Stowmaket. It was hard to say how far away it was, but it was large, bright, and moved very fast. Certainly without a doubt this was no ordinary aircraft.
It wasn't a shooting star; this was too bright and too fast and it seemed to vanish into the clouds. No publicly known aircraft could travel that fast.
Definitely a UFO!
And it's Friday the 13th, if that has any relevance.
However, the search continues...
Amendment: April 4, 1998 - Further research into this incident has also excluded the possibility that it could have been a falling star (a shooting star/asteroid that has managed to punch through the Earth's atmosphere). Falling stars apparently glow blue or red because of the gasses they burn while dragging through the thick atmosphere of the planet. The object also appeared to be ascending. If it were an asteroid it would have surely made a large impact within the UK mainland and have been sighted by a large population. Further theories about this sighting and also a personal experience that happened hours earlier to me that day strongly suggest that the UFO was of intelligent extra-terrestrial origin and was specifically meant to be seen there and then.
The truth is getting alarmingly close...
Amendment: May 4, 1998 - Most sceptical people who have tried to explain what it is I saw seem convinced it was a helicopter. Maybe I didn't stress this enough: It was very large (about the size of the moon in proportion to how we see it in the sky), it was very bright (helicopters usually have a small pin-prick of red and white light) and it's spherical shape was completely illuminated, it moved over us and out of sight in under half a second (if any conventional craft tried to travel that fast it would break up and it would at least make a very loud noise; this thing was silent).
Anyone who isn't open to the idea of extra-terrestrial or extra-dimentional life (or open to anything for that matter) and wishes to argue against it should at least read and investigate a little into the subject before doing so. This applies to psychic phenomena too. There is a wealth of information and the proof that something is out there is right in front of your eyes but you just can't see it because you don't want to look for it; you can't handle the truth. Wake up people! - FAST!
January 1, 1998 - New Year, New Start
I know that 1997 has been a difficult year for everyone. There have been a lot of good times, but all our hard work and 'good will' has seen little reward. 1998 is already looking prosperous and we are sure to need all our strength for whatever dark storms the millennium threatens us with. So let me wish you, the reader, a Happy New Year.
I would have put pictures of my new year's celebrations, but my friend's camera was stolen! Ack! (it was good fun though!).
