Non-Fiction:
This guy is the first to discover and reveal codes which are locked away in the Hebrew text of the Torah - the first 5 books of the Old Testament as given to Moses from God 3000 years ago.
Michael Drosnin is an atheist and he believes the Torah and the
complex codes locked within it are of extra-terrestrial origin.
Whatever you believe, this book lays down the scientific research
which proves without a doubt that the codes are very real. The
origin and meaning of the codes is another issue.

My favourite book of them all so far. How'd you like to have a direct
conversation with God and ask Him all them questions that are boiling up in
your head? Well, this guy has. Using automatic writing in reply this book
is a series of questions and answers, allegedly, from God. Read it and see
what you think.

Same format as the first book but book 2 deals with more global issues rather
than personal, describing how each of us can make a global/political change
by creating a mass shift in conciousness.

A nice compilation of stories surrounding Hawayo Takata's life as she is
introduced to and develops her Reiki healing powers as told by Fran Brown.
Although this book paints a rosy picture of the world it does give a good
example of how best to live the Reiki way and follow the Reiki philosophy.

Wonderful true story of the awakening experiences of someone who has become a brilliant healer, after literally being struck by lightning. His stories as he goes through this amazing spiritual journey is a very good example to man and woman kind.
Foster Perry has this wonderfully magic way of seeing life. He sees every
physical event, good or bad, to have a mirrored spiritual meaning. He
doesn't express philosophically, but by using stories and mythology.

I picked this up in hope to understand why I have so many failed relationships behind me. The first few pages seemed quite an old-fashioned and I was wondering if it could relate to how society has changed recently. Reading on though, I soon learned that people have always and always will interact the same way in almost any society, so the book proved to be quite valuable. I was surprised at the amount of relationship myths this book highlighted which goes to show how we take many things for granted. The book talks mostly of better communication, most of which is common sense but even subtle changes in how we can communicate can have major differences in how people react to what we say. There is also a lot about self-talk which can have a profound affect on how we feel about any given situation. I can personally say I learned a lot from this book and have applied it already. Unfortunately at the end of the day it takes two people to communicate well and if you find you're the only one remaining calm and reasonable then there is not much one can do if the other is not open to change.

The Celestine Prophecy - An Adventure
A story with a twist. Taking on existing prophecies from sources such as Nostradamus, the author
has created a story which parallels many truths all of us will experience
in our lives. Easy and fun to read; everyone's favourite book!

Good Omens
A great satirical Armageddon story with Pratchett's usual humour mixed
with Gaiman's dark horror.

This story tells of a shepherd boy's journey in pursuit of his dream. Similar to The Celestine
Prophecy - in that the boy wakes up to the subtle magical world around him and learns to read
the signs and manipulate his reality; which is what alchemy is really about. The writing is
simplistic, maybe because of the English translation. Suffice to say the book has inspired me
enough to have another go at living my life with an open heart and mind again.

Terry Pratchett. What can I say? He is the God of Fiction.
In his usual simplistic style Coelho manages to tell a powerfully deep and thought provoking
tale of a young girl who, despite having a stable social life, decides she has nothing left
to live for or experience and so decides to take her own life. The attempt fails and she finds
herself in a mental home with 5 days left to live the rest of her life. The story touches on
some controversial issues, which when coupled with Coelho's lack of poetic skill would explain
why his books aren't appreciated by everyone. I really enjoyed this book; it was funny,
shocking, compelling, uplifting, sad, and eye-opening.
